An introduction to goldwork embroidery! Goldwork refers to relief embroidery done with metal threads or wires. It has cultural significant throughout Asia and Europe and was historically found in imperial, ceremonial, and religious dress. Modern goldwork is still used in high end garments around the world today.

Generally considered a more advanced technique; this class is designed for beginners to embroidery and quite approachable. You will be guided through terms, materials, and the basics of getting started!

Important note, due to the delicate nature of the materials involved I’ll be limiting this workshop to participants 16+.
